Community Member Spotlight: Jacob Sidock – This Multi-Talented Fashion Advocate Wants A More Inclusive And Lucrative Industry
Meet Jacob Sidock, a multi-talented fashion creative advocating for a safer, more profitable industry , and this month’s DFC Community Spotlight..
Jacob The…
When Jacob Sidock describes himself as a ‘jack of all trades’, that is not an exaggeration. As the intentional omission of his professional epithet, “JT” —which stands for “Jacob The…”—suggests, JT’s creative talents span entire industries and dip into every bit of the runway and fashion world. JT is a model, fashion designer, stylist, fashion show producer, photographer, and media director working with brands like Phoenix Flames, YS Clothier, and Hot Commodity Eyewear.
Jacob The Show Producer
The Detroit Fashion Community was introduced to JT as Jacob The Show Producer when he attended a DFC Connects event earlier this year to invite the DFC to his signature event—The Forgotten Fashion Show, a fashion show produced with the intention to showcase authentic cultural elements that have “slowly but, steadily been forgotten overtime in the mainstream media”. Since JT’s electric induction into the DFC, he has fully embraced the Community and the DFC acknowledges his accomplishments, and are honored to introduce to those who have not yet experienced, the creative energy that is Jacob Sidock.
Jacob The Photographer
Behind the camera lens, Jacob The Photographer is the owner and operator of Cracked Lens Media, a media and photography company based out of Pontiac, Michigan. JT is currently the Media Director for luxury streetwear brand, Phoenix Flames, and Love & Lyrics Inc.— a platform developed to showcase musical and literary expression.
Jacob The Advocate
As an advocate for an industry that is safer, more profitable, and more inclusive for all Involved, JT intentionally produces paid opportunities for artists through his events and showcases.
